Terms of Service
GetYourNISS.pt is an independent private service, operated by Chairman Group, Lisbon, Portugal. It is not a government website, is not part of Seguranca Social or the Instituto da Seguranca Social, and is not affiliated with any Portuguese public body. The NISS is issued free of charge by the Instituto da Seguranca Social. Our fees pay for document checking, filing as your representative, follow-up and account setup help.
The service
We check every document you provide against Seguranca Social requirements before filing, file your NISS application with the Instituto da Seguranca Social as your representative, track the application and answer follow-up requests, and help you activate Seguranca Social Direta and set your password. Password setup is included in both service tiers.
Prices
Standard costs EUR 499: we file within 1 business day of receiving a complete application. Expedite costs EUR 699: same business day priority filing on our side, plus daily status chasing and priority support. Expedite speeds our handling; it does not speed up the Seguranca Social decision, and issuance time is set by the Instituto da Seguranca Social. Your NISS is issued once and kept for life, so there is no renewal fee. Two or more applicants applying together get 5 percent off the service fees, shown as a discount line in the application form: for example, 2 x Standard = EUR 998, less 5 percent = EUR 948.10. One application, one file, filed together.
Timelines
Seguranca Social publishes no set deadline for issuing a NISS. Complete applications typically take about 2 to 6 weeks. We do not guarantee a delivery date, and no part of our service should be read as promising one.
Your responsibilities
The details and documents you provide must be true and complete. You confirm this when you submit the application form. Scans must be clear and complete: documents with cut edges or glare, and two-sided documents sent as a single file, are common causes of delay and refusal.
Money-back guarantee terms
If, after we have filed a complete application on your behalf, Seguranca Social refuses to issue you a NISS and the refusal is final, we refund your full service fee. The guarantee also applies if we tell you at document check that we cannot proceed with your case.
The guarantee does not apply where a NISS cannot be issued because documents you provided are false or incomplete after we have asked you to correct them, where you already hold a NISS (in that case we help you recover it instead), or where you withdraw your application after filing. Refunds are made to your original payment method within 14 days of the final decision.
To claim, email support@getyourniss.pt with your application reference. We confirm the outcome in writing.
Doing it yourself
Requesting a NISS from Seguranca Social is free, and your employer can also request yours once your contract is signed. Nothing in these terms limits your right to apply directly at any time.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the new version will be published on this page with a new date at the top. The terms that apply to your application are the ones in force when you submit it.
