Privacy Policy
GetYourNISS.pt is an independent private service that helps people obtain a Portuguese NISS (Numero de Identificacao da Seguranca Social). GetYourNISS.pt is operated by Chairman Group, Lisbon, Portugal. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use this website and our application service, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.
What we collect
When you apply, we collect the details you enter in the application form: your full name, email address, phone number, date of birth, nationality, Portuguese NIF, residence status and work route, plus the same details for a second applicant if you add one. We also collect the documents you upload, such as scans of your passport or ID, residence documents and proof of your work link. If you choose to send documents by email after applying instead, we collect the documents you send us that way.
Why we collect it
We use your data for one purpose: to check your documents, file your NISS application with the Instituto da Seguranca Social as your representative, follow up on that application, help you set up your Seguranca Social Direta password, and communicate with you about your application, including your total price and secure payment link. We do not use your data for advertising, and we never sell your data.
Who we share it with
Your application details and documents are shared with the Instituto da Seguranca Social as part of your filing, because that is the body that issues the NISS. On the live site, card payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not receive or store your full card number. We do not share your data with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How your documents travel and are stored
Documents are sent over an encrypted connection. Application documents are kept only for as long as your application and any follow-up require, and the document files attached to application emails are deleted after sending, as described in our application process. Your data is never sold, and you can ask us to delete your data at any time; deletion on request is part of how this service operates.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us at any time what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Contact us at support@getyourniss.pt and we will respond without undue delay. You also have the right to complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the CNPD.
The NISS validator and tax calendar tools
The NISS validator and the Portugal tax calendar on this website run entirely in your browser. Numbers you type into the validator and choices you make in the calendar are never sent to us, stored or shared.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date at the top.
